One of our favourite parts about staying at Dreams Flora, Punta Cana, was the variety of dining options available throughout the resort. Whether we were grabbing a quick bite by the pool, sitting down for a family dinner, or sipping tropical drinks while the kids played nearby, every restaurant had something special to offer. Here’s a breakdown of each dining spot and what you can expect from the experience. Plus a few tips on where theyโ€™re located so you can plan your meals with ease.

World Cafรฉ

๐Ÿ“ย Located near the main pool and lobby
This is the resortโ€™s international buffet and the place we came to most often, especially for breakfast. It offers a wide variety of options, including fresh fruit, omelet stations, pancakes, Dominican specialties, and lots of kid-friendly picks like waffles and cereal. We also enjoyed dinner here a few nights when we wanted something casual. The variety made it easy for picky eaters, and the relaxed atmosphere was perfect for families.

El Patio โ€“ Mexican Cuisine

๐Ÿ“ Tucked just off the central courtyard near the theater
El Patio was a hit with our family! The dรฉcor is vibrant and colorful, and the food was full of flavor. We loved the tortilla soup, fajitas, and guacamole made fresh to order. Thereโ€™s indoor and outdoor seating, and the casual vibe made it great for kids. We went early one evening and got a quiet corner table just before the evening show started nearby.

Portofino โ€“ Italian Cuisine

๐Ÿ“ Located along the resortโ€™s main dining corridor near the lobby
Portofino its a dining option at Dreams Flora that offers a more upscale feel without being too formal for kids. The pasta and pizza dishes were deliciousโ€”especially the lasagna and risotto. We loved the cozy lighting and soft music, which made it feel like a nice night out. They also had a good kids’ menu with simple pasta dishes.

Himitsu โ€“ Pan-Asian Cuisine

๐Ÿ“ Near the theater, across from El Patio
This was one of the more unique dining experiences at the resort. Himitsu offers Asian fusion dishes and hibachi tables. We did both! The hibachi table at Himitsu was an absolute blast! Our chef put on a show with flying shrimp, flaming onion volcanoes, and plenty of laughs along the way. The foodโ€”steak, chicken, fried rice, and veggiesโ€”was cooked to perfection right in front of us. It was dinner and entertainment all in one.

Seaside Grill

๐Ÿ“ย Overlooking the beach, right by the Preferred Club pool
With ocean views and a beachy atmosphere, Seaside Grill became our go-to spot for lunch. They serve up burgers, grilled chicken, fish, and fresh salads. The views are gorgeous and the breeze from the ocean made it extra relaxing. Itโ€™s open for breakfast and lunch for Preferred Club guests. This was a nice perk since we could walk over straight from our swim-out room.

We had dinner at the Seaside Grill one evening, and it quickly became one of our favorite meals at Dreams Flora. Located right by the beach, the setting was absolutely beautiful. Think palm trees swaying, the sound of waves in the background, and soft lighting. The dinner menu featured a variety of grilled meats and seafood, and everything was full of flavour. We ordered steak and chicken. You better come hungry because the portions are huge! The atmosphere was relaxed but elegant, making it the perfect spot for dinner with ocean views.

Barefoot Grill

๐Ÿ“ Steps from the main pool and beach
Perfect for a poolside snack or quick lunch, the Barefoot Grill offers hot dogs, burgers, nachos, and fries right near all the action. This was a favourite for getting a quick bite and grabbing a plate of food in between dips in the pool. No need for cover-ups or fancy attireโ€”just come as you are!

Coco Cafรฉ

๐Ÿ“ Just inside the lobby area
Coco Cafรฉ was our morning go-to. This little coffee shop is open 24/7 and offers specialty coffee drinks, smoothies, pastries, and small sandwiches. We grabbed cappuccinos and banana bread here every morning before heading to the pool or beach. Itโ€™s also a great late-night snack stop after the evening shows.

Preferred Club Lounge

The Preferred Club Lounge at Dreams Flora was a quiet little escape that we really appreciated, especially during the hotter parts of the day. Itโ€™s an exclusive space for Preferred Club guests and offers a selection of snacks, desserts, and drinks throughout the day. We loved popping in for a cold specialty drink or coffee and grabbing a quick bite. There were always tasty finger foods like mini sandwiches, fruit, pastries, and even some small hot dishes depending on the time. The air-conditioned lounge was a relaxing spot to unwind, check messages with the free Wi-Fi, or just enjoy a snack before heading back out to the pool or beach. It felt like a mini all-day buffet!
