At Occidental at Xcaret Destination, travellers can enjoy around-the-clock food and drinks service. With 11 restaurants and 11 bars – featuring 5 Ã la carte restaurants and 2 international buffets, you will never run out of choices.
Buffet Restaurants
La Buffet
Don’t miss the opportunity to indulge in one of the 2 buffets at Occidental at Xcaret Location. The main buffet restaurant is located across from the outdoor theatre. It is open for breakfast (7:00am-11:30am), lunch (12:30pm-4:00pm) and dinner (6:00pm-10:00pm). We ate at this buffet restaurant on our first night at the resort. Although the food was okay, we preferred the other restaurants and buffet. Note – La Buffet is currently undergoing renovations.
The Beach Club
The second buffet restaurant is open air and located right beside the beach and has wonderful views of the ocean. It is open for breakfast (7:00am-11:00am) and lunch (12:00pm-4:30pm). We ate breakfast here every morning and also enjoyed the lunch options as well.
A la Carte Restaurants
There are 5 Ã la carte restaurants to choose from which all require reservations and have a dress code. Reservations must be made in the lobby and are offered at a first come first serve basis. In order to ensure a spot at our desired restaurant, we would wait in line starting at 7am. I would consider this a con for the resort as it was a hassle to get up early each morning of our vacation just to ensure we could get dinner reservations. Also, the resort works on a voucher system which is based on the length of your stay. For example, because we stayed for 7 nights, we were allowed to make 4 reservations. La Hacienda: Experience Authentic Mexican Cuisine
La Hacienda is an à la carte restaurant that serves authentic Mexican cuisine. There is a dress code that requires men to wear pants, a collared shirt, and closed toes shoes. At this restaurant you will immerse yourself in the vibrant flavours of Mexico as you savour the authentic cuisine that La Hacienda offers at Occidental at Xcaret Destination. Enter the Steak House Restaurant at Occidental at Xcaret Destination in Mexico, offering a diverse range of succulent steaks, perfectly grilled to your preference. Pescador
This was the one a la carte restaurant we were unable to try during our stay at Occidental at Xcaret Destination. We would love to return and try this restaurant one day as the menu looks amazing!

Pizza and Tacos
The pizzeria and Paco’s Tacos are located next to one another. These dining options are much less formal. There is no dedicated restaurant for either but there are servers walking around to take your orders. With no reservations required, you can seat yourself, and and helpful waiter will come by and take your food and drink order.
